FAQ'S: KEYSTONE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022
  • Will the State tournament be held in the western part of the state every year?  No, we are committed to moving the State Tournament around to a different region each year based on venue availability.

  • What prize do State Qualifiers win?  Each qualifier will win a new singlet that is theirs to  keep.  They are required to wear this regional singlet at the State Tournament. They will also receive a shirt representing their region as well as other items.  Each region will receive the same advancement packet to ensure uniformity and fairness.

  • Will the kids have to wrestle for " true second" place?  No, we do not believe in this philosophy.  These athletes will likely never experience this situation during their wrestling career.  Our regionals qualify multiple wrestlers, so it would not be necessary.

  • Is Keystones Sanctioned or Recognized by the PIAA?  No youth/Jr High state tournament is associated with the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association

  • Can my athlete change weight class?  Yes, the wrestler is able to change weight class at their designated Regional Tournament with no fee.  Of course, that must then be their weight class for the State Tournament.  Girls deadline to change weight class, by email, is noon, Friday March 18.  No weight changes will be accepted after that date.  Girls, please double check your registration to make sure your division & weight are accurate.  Changes cannot be made at Weigh Ins under any circumstance.

  • States is being held during the NCAA's.  Some years this may occur.  Luckily, this is not an issue for 2024

  • Will there be a Parade of Champions?  Yes, yes, yes!  We will, again, celebrate our athletes in style.
